Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis card update – extra fights announced for fight week

On November 14, Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis will headline a Most Valuable Promotions fight card, streamed live on Netflix for all subscribers. The entire card will take place at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.

Ahead of this 10-round exhibition, MVP have announced Fight Week Showcase 2, which will feature four fights, showcasing some of boxing’s brightest prospects.

The Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis exhibition has attracted plenty of criticism, but despite this, many look set to tune in and watch. The fight night undercard is intriguing, with four title fights. 

The fight week schedule has now been finalised, with details released via an MVP press release. The release confirmed the open workouts with Tank and Paul taking place on Tuesday, November 11, featuring the MVP Fight Week Showcase 2, which will showcase four sanctioned bouts from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

US Olympian Jahmal Harvey (1-0, 1 KO) returns to action in a super featherweight bout against fellow unbeaten fighter Kevin Cervantes (5-0, 5 KOs).

Lightweight prospect and 18x national amateur champion Kaipo Gallegos (10-0-1, 8 KOs) against Cristian Perez (12-3-1, 7 KOs) will also feature. in addition, Brazilian Olympian Keno Marley will make his professional debut against Diarra Davis Jr. (2-1, 1 KO) in the cruiserweight division.

Opening the Showcase 2 fight card will be Nazarena Romero (14-1-2, 8 KOs) vs Mayerlin Rivas (17-6-3, 11 KOs) in the super bantamweight division.

At the New York press conference, the rules for this eagerly anticipated exhibition were revealed by MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian:

• Both fighters will wear 12-ounce gloves.
• The weight limit for the fight will be 195 pounds.
• Three ringside judges will score the contest.
