Tony Bellew’s Jake Paul vs Tank Davis Prediction: ‘He’s Going to Sleep’

Gervonta Davis vs Jake Paul is a fight that has garnered criticism in the boxing world, with both separated by 65 pounds at their normal fighting weight.

The exhibition bout was originally set for the State Farm Arena in Atlanta. However, Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions have announced the entire event will now take place at Kaseya Center, home of the NBA’s Miami Heat, in Miami.

In preparation for this exhibition bout, Tony Bellew spoke to Pundit Arena and revealed what will happen if Davis lands clean on Paul.

Gervonta Davis vs Jake Paul venue changes for November. 14

Gervonta Davis vs Jake Paul was moved soon after Josh Peter of USA Today reported that MVP withdrew their request for event permits and rule waivers needed to hold the event in Georgia.

According to USA Today, Rick Thompson, the chairman of the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission, said MVP was “promoting something they should not have been.”

Tony Bellew weighs in on Nov. 14 exhibition bout

Davis and Paul are set to meet on November 14, live on Netflix. Bellew expressed his disbelief at the fight but had a warning for “Tank” Davis:

“I can’t get my head around this fight. I don’t know what kind of freak show people are going to be seeing, but people are going to tune in. And I’m not going to lie, if Tank hits him clean, he’s going to sleep. Tank has got legitimate power. If Jake Paul gets hit by Tank Davis with 8-ounce gloves, he’s going to sleep.

“I’d go as far as saying that Tank is the most exciting fighter in the world. He’s vicious, he’s a finisher. I just can’t get my head around why he’s fighting someone who’s the legitimate size of a cruiserweight?”

Whatever your feelings are towards this exhibition, it’s difficult to deny we’ll be tuning in out of intrigue. Will this be the last time we see Tank in a boxing ring?
