5 Fights All Boxing Fans Want to See Happen in 2024

We have already had some big fights this year, with Artur Beterbiev dominating Callum Smith, and are getting nearer to Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk. Despite the fights already scheduled, BFW are bringing you five fights all boxing fans want to see in 2024, along with comprehensive offshore sportsbook reviews to enhance your overall viewing experience.

5 Fights Boxing Fans Want to See in 2024

Five Boxing Fights: Terence Crawford vs. Jaron Ennis

The welterweight king and many people’s number one pound-for-pound fighter, Terence Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs) – will surely be fighting in 2024. It appears the rematch against Errol Spence is not happening, and Jaron “Boots” Ennis (31-0, 28 KOs) is being spoken by many as the next opponent for “Bud.”

Ennis has showcased he possesses plenty of KO power throughout his career. He has exceptional ring IQ, speedy reflexes and a great ability to punch from various angles. Crawford, like Ennis, can switch stances comfortably throughout the fight. Crawford punches with great accuracy and venom, making him tough to defend against, as proven in his destruction of Spence.

Five Boxing Fights: Canelo Alvarez vs. David Benavidez

Canelo Alvarez (60-2-2, 39 KOs) is at that stage in his career where he can almost pick who he fights. As time progresses, the inevitability of “Canelo” facing David Benavidez (28-0, 24 KOs) is increasing. The Las Vegas fighter was previously banned in 2018 when he tested positive for the banned substance benzoylecgonine, the key ingredient in cocaine. Had he not failed that test, his path would have likely crossed with “Canelo.”

Alvarez possesses exceptional hand speed and an ability to throw heavy accurate combinations. Benavidez is an unbelievable pressure fighter who throws a high volume of spiteful shots. The boxing world needs this fight, and it’s a legacy fight for them both.

Artur Beterbiev vs. Dmitry Bivol

Artur Beterbiev (20-0, 20 KOs) vs. Dmitry Bivol (22-0, 11 KOs) is one fight the boxing world wants, including His Excellency. Eddie Hearn has also recently spoken about the qualities of Beterbiev and Bivol

No one cuts the ring off as effectively as Beterbiev. He hunts you down and unloads his punches with brutality, which has seen him KO every opponent that shared the ring with him during his professional career. Bivols movement is exceptional – along with his excellent jab and strong fundamentals, make him a formidable opponent. Every boxing fan will surely want to see this bout. It promises to be a clash of styles and a potential fight for the ages.

Katie Taylor vs. Chantelle Cameron III

Katie Taylor (23-1, 6 KOs) lost her homecoming fight against Chantelle Cameron (18-1, 8 KOs) on May 20, 2023. Their rematch occurred on November 25 last year, which saw the Irish fighter gain revenge

Cameron is a great pressure fighter who is tough, doesn’t stop coming forward and throws with impressive accuracy. Taylor is a great volume puncher who picks her shots well and has a huge heart that ensures she keeps her work rate high. The fans want this fight, as it seems both fighters do. It only seems a matter of time until we see Cameron vs. Taylor III.

Gervonta Davis vs. Shakur Stevenson

Gervonta Davis (29-0, 27 KOs) has not fought since his seventh-round TKO victory against Ryan Garcia. “Tank” experienced some legal troubles last year, but hopefully, in 2024, we can see the Baltimore native back in the ring. Shakur Stevenson is undoubtedly one of the hottest prospects in boxing despite his low-action win against Edwin De Los Santos. Many are asking about Davis vs. Stevenson.

“Tank” possesses real KO power when throwing shots from any angle. Davis throws his punches quickly with plenty of spite, as he shows often – when countering effectively. His ability to counter so well makes him brilliant at attacking his opponent’s jab.

Despite his lacklustre win last time out, Stevenson is an exceptional boxer with a high-level ring IQ. He controls the distance so well and uses his jab to great effect. The defensive capabilities of Stevenson will need to be at their very best to thwart the killer instinct from Davis. If these two fight, it will surely provide plenty of fireworks.
