Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn undercard – Adam Azim opponent confirmed for November 15

Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn will headline a Sela Promotions card in association with Matchroom and Boxxer. The entire card will be sponsored by Ring Magazine and Riyadh Season. The Eubank Jr vs Benn undercard was also confirmed a number of weeks ago, but Zaur Abdullaev, who was scheduled to fight Adam Azim (13-0, 10 KOs), withdrew from the event due to reported visa issues.

Ring Magazine is now reporting that Azim’s opponent on November 15 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will be the heavy-handed American Kurt Scoby (18-1, 16 KOs).

Chris Eubank Jr vs Benn undercard – new opponent confirmed for Adam Azim

With November 15, less than two weeks away, Azim was without an opponent, following the withdrawal of Abdullaev (20-2, 12 KOs). After several rounds of negotiations, Ring Magazine is reporting that Scoby is the new opponent for Azim on the Eubank Jr vs Benn undercard.

Scoby has had five successive knockout wins since his sole career defeat against Dakota Linger. He was set to face Cristian Ruben Mino on November 8. Scoby has a good engine and carries plenty of power. Azim will need to use his speed and footwork to frustrate the American.

It’s been a frustrating year for Azim, having not fought since his impressive stoppage win over Sergey Lipinets in February. A tick-over fight against Eliot Chavez on the Callum Simpson vs Ivan Zucco card was cancelled late on by the British Boxing Board of Control due to Chavez’s weight-cutting methods.
