Denys Berinchyk vs. Keyshawn Davis Press Conference Quotes
Denys Berinchyk
“Nothing changed too much ’cause we’re having war in Ukraine,” said Berinchyk through an interpreter about his life after becoming world champion. “And the rockets coming, the bombs exploding. So, unfortunately, it didn’t change much.”

“I never imagined myself fighting in Madison Square Garden. But I’ve been working hard for 25 years to make my dream come true and to accomplish this assignment.”
Keyshawn Davis
“It’s a blessing,” said Davis. “It’s a real blessing. “When he called my name out after he won his last fight, I just had a feeling in my spirit that I was going to fight him for the world championship. I never thought that it was gonna be at the Madison Square [Garden]. I appreciate Top Rank and ESPN for just believing in me this much. To bring a fight like this to Madison Square. We could’ve fought anywhere in America, but they know that I’m the future of Top Rank. They know that I’m the future of the sport and they wanted to headline me, my second headliner, at the Madison Square.”

“Bro, you’re not tougher than me. You can talk about all that bare-knuckle stuff. I don’t care about none of that. I come from what I come from. I’ve been doing this bare-knuckle shit outside the ring. So, all that shit you’re talking about, I don’t care. I’m going to fuck you up Friday. I don’t care about none of your experience, amateur experience. I don’t care about your silver medal. I don’t even care about your watch, your belt, none of that. I’m going to fuck you up Friday.”
Fight Prediction
Berinchyk represented Ukraine at the 2012 Olympics. That year, Ukrainian boxers won two gold, one silver and two bronze medals. Berinchyk was the silver medalist. It may have taken him nine years to become a world champion, but the 36-year-old has the skills. However, he will be facing Davis, a younger boxer who is also incredibly talented (and an Olympic silver medalist, too). Given their talents, expect this fight to go the distance. In the end, it should be Davis whose skills allow him to claim a unanimous decision win and become a lightweight world champion.
