‘He’ll Figure Him Out’: Fernando Vargas Jr Reveals His Prediction for Canelo vs Crawford
On September 13, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Canelo vs Crawford will headline a huge event on Netflix. The entire event will be promoted by Zuffa, Sela, and Riyadh Season. A packed fight week schedule will begin on September 9 with the grand arrivals and conclude with an entertaining undercard, followed by the legacy-fuelled main event. Alongside the opportunity for Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs) to become a three-division undisputed champion and four-division lineal champion, he will also be challenging Canelo (63-2-2, 39 KOs) for his undisputed super middleweight crown.
Ahead of fight week, Fernando Vargas Jr, who will be fighting Callum Walsh in the co-main event, has spoken to Fight Hub TV and broken down the fight, revealing his prediction for the main event.

Canelo vs Crawford: Fernando Vargas Jr Reveals His Prediction
Speaking with Marcos Villegas, Vargas Jr shared his respect for “Bud” Crawford but explained why he ultimately believes Canelo will prevail:
“I’m a big, big Crawford fan as well. Like, every time he sees me and my brothers and my dad at fights, he comes out of his way, shakes our hands. It’s all respect. But I just feel the weights a little too much, Marcos.
“I feel, going up two weight classes, really like three, and early, I feel like Terence will have great success. I mean, maybe he’ll get Canelo’s head snap back or catch Canelo early. Maybe I could see Terence Crawford go southpaw, because you see, Canelo has had a bit of problems with southpaws. You can see Canelo – I can see him getting frustrated, picking him up like how he does, like when he gets frustrated.
“But I say sixth, seventh, eighth round, on up, I think he’ll (Canelo) figure him out. We need Canelo to get a stoppage. If not, you know, get a knockout. I think it’ll be great for Mexico, and it’ll be great for Razas. But I got Canelo coming out with a victory.”
