Callum Simpson vs. Ivan Zucco Press Conference Quotes

Callum Simpson

“It’s massive,” said Simpson. “Absolutely massive…It’s really important. It’s amazing to be able to come back to Barnsley again. We did it last year [against Zak Chelli] in front of 7,000. Atmosphere unbelievable. And then we went to Sheffield earlier this year and to come back again less than 10 months later, double the capacity, it’s going to be a bigger, better, more prestigious title. It’s going to be absolutely massive.

“I’m expecting a lot from him [Zucco]. I’m sure he’s put in a good camp. He’s strong, powerful. He can box. He can fight as well. Likes to come forward. Carries power. It’s going to be my toughest fight to date and I’ve trained for a tough, tough fight and hopefully give the fans a good fight on Saturday.”

Ivan Zucco

“I’m having a good time here in England,” said Zucco. “The welcome was very good and everyone [treats me respectfully] and this is more important.”

“I don’t know [how the fight will go]. I never make predictions and I won’t do this now. I came here for a win because this is a gamechanger for me.”

Fight Prediction

Simpson will have to be wary of Zucco’s power for all 12 rounds of their fight. That being said, the Barnsley native has the ability to do so. While Zucco will have his moments of success, expect Simpson to outbox the Italian for most of the fight. Eventually, he will get the stoppage. Simpson by stoppage by round 10.
