Must-See Boxing in April: Three Fights You Can’t Miss
It’s been a memorable 2025 in the boxing world so far, with plenty of great fights on the boxing schedule. Now, as we head into April, Big Fight Weekend looks ahead at the upcoming action. With some memorable matchups on the horizon, here are three fights you can’t miss in the April schedule.
Boxing Schedule: Three Fights to Look Forward to in April
Boxing Schedule: Jaron Ennis vs Eimantas Stanionis – April 12
Many questions were asked following the comfortable yet pedestrian win for Jaron Ennis (33-0, 29 KOs) against Karen Chukhadzhian. “Boots” will return to action on April 12 to face Eimantas Stanionis (15-0, 9 KOs) in an intriguing welterweight unification fight, with the WBA and IBF straps on the line.
The entire card on April 12 will be shown live on DAZN from Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City. The winner of this fight will surely look to face WBO champion Mario Barrios and WBO champion Brian Norman Jr, to become the undisputed welterweight king. Norman Jr is in action on March 29 against Derrieck Cuevas.
Ben Whittaker vs Liam Cameron – April 20
Olympic 2020 silver medallist Ben Whittaker (8-0-1, 5 KOs) faced Liam Cameron (23-6-1, 10 KOs) on October 12 in Riyadh with the fight ending in a bizarre technical draw. Whittaker was unable to continue after both fighters fell out of the ring.
“The Surgeon” received plenty of criticism, with many clamouring for him to face Cameron in a rematch. That fight has now been confirmed, and the two will settle their rivalry as the headline bout at Resorts World Arena, Birmingham, on April 20. This feels like a huge fight for Whittaker—one where he not only needs to perform well but also deliver a statement-making performance to move on to bigger fights.
Cameron will fancy his chances in the rematch, as he was getting on top in their first fight before the controversial ending.
Conor Benn vs Chris Eubank Jr. – April 26
Chris Eubank Jr (34-3, 25 KOs) vs Conor Benn (23-0, 14 KOs) was due to happen in 2022 but was ultimately cancelled due to Benn failing two drug tests. The rivalry has simmered since, with both making it clear they don’t like each other and now this rivalry will finally be settled on April 26 with Eubank vs Benn headlining the first-ever Ring Magazine UK card at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The build-up has been eventful so far, with Eubank slapping Benn with an egg and subsequently being fined 100k. As we edge closer to fight night, expect plenty more needle and moments of controversy.
The April boxing schedule has plenty of fights to look forward to, but these three top the list for us.
