Eubank Jr. Promises ‘Blood Bath’ on April 26, Declares ‘No Respect’ at London Presser

On April 26 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Conor Benn vs Chris Eubank Jr. will finally take place after their bitter rivalry, which began when their 2022 fight was cancelled due to Conor Benn’s two failed drug tests. At their opening press conference, Eubank Jr. slapped “The Destroyer” with an egg, and the London presser kicked off with a tense statement from Eubank Jr., promising a bloodbath on April 26.

Benn vs Eubank Jr: ‘No Respect’

With the events of Manchester still fresh in everyone’s mind, it was a tense opening in London with Ade Oladipo asking Eubank if he felt he had taken things too far with the now infamous egg slap: “I think that’s light. I think that’s deserved. He deserved the embarrassment of what happened. If I had an opportunity to do it again, I would.

“Unfortunately, I come unarmed today. I’ve been thoroughly searched multiple times; couldn’t sneak any in.

“But in all seriousness, this is a real fight. This is going to be a blood bath. This is going to be like the first fight between my father and Nigel Benn. It’s going to be special.”

Eubank Jr was then asked if his respect for Benn had gone up following his comments previously that fighting him would be an easy night’s work: “I’ve always respected every fighter I’ve fought bar one. Respect for me is reserved for fighters who are true. Who don’t cheat. If you cheat, I don’t care how many fights you’ve had, how brave you are, how well you’ve done. I don’t respect you. So, no, there is no respect in this fight.”
