Prograis-Taylor fight to unify 140 belts in London

Saturday night in London we have a big time junior welterweight match up between Regis Prograis  and Josh Taylor. The unification bout will not only give us a new unified champion at 140 but also the conclusion of the World Boxing Super Series tournament for that weight class.

Check out the latest edition of the Big Fight Weekend Podcast where we break this fight down with special guest Ryan O’Hara of Fightnights.com

Ryan swings by the podcast with T.J. Rives and senior writer of Bigfightweekend.com Marquis Johns  to break down the fight. Ryan also stops by to give us his thoughts on the fight and what it’s implications. He also provides us his insight as he sheds light of the fallout he had with women’s champion Claressa Shields earlier in the week. O’Hara was the first to brake the story of Jermell Charlo willing to pay for the funeral expenses of recently fallen fighter in the ring Patrick Day and we get his details on that as well. We also get his thoughts on Tyson Fury and his upcoming WWE match up and his concerns as well as the other news in the world of boxing.

We conclude the program with T.J. and Marquis giving their thoughts on how importance this math is for Regis Prograis and how it would elate his status if he is victorious.

They conclude the program going over the other fights taking place in the states. Including the championship bout out in Reno between rivals Shakur Stevenson and Joet Gonzalez for the vacant WBO featherweight strap on ESPN+ Saturday night.

They also speak on the Showtime boxing card as well featuring Erickson Lubin and Nathaniel Gallimore out in Reading, Pa. for Premier Boxing Champions.

As always, click, rate and subscribe to the podcast and feel free to leave any feedback or thought on the show, the fights and who you think will come out on top this weekend!
