Tyson Fury sends message to Wladimir Klitschko on ten-year anniversary
On November 28, 2015, Tyson Fury faced Wladimir Klitschko at the Esprit Arena in Dusseldorf. The WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO, and The Ring heavyweight titles were up for grabs. Fury went on to memorably win the fight by unanimous decision, crowning him the king of the heavyweight division.
The Gypsy King encountered many problems post that fight, but did return to the ring almost three years later. Reminiscing on the anniversary, Fury took to his social media to send a clear message to his old rival.

The build-up saw Fury confident he could dethrone the long-reigning champion, and the Brit lived up to his pre-fight confidence. The herky-jerky style of Fury baffled the Ukrainian, who couldn’t close the distance, allowing his opponent to control the distance and tempo using his three-inch height advantage.
Despite the win being a clear career best for Fury, it wasn’t a great fight, but it was a perfect one for Fury, whose movement enabled him to get off the cleaner punches, with Klitschko seemingly gun-shy.
Despite having a point deducted in the 11th round, for punching behind Klitschko’s head, Fury claimed a deserved unanimous decision win, with scorecards of 115-112 x2 and 116-111.

In a video posted on his social media, Fury was clearly in a buoyant mood, reminising on his win from 2015:
“Good morning, everybody. It’s been a decade today, 10 years later, a full decade. Since I dethroned the long-reigning heavyweight champion of the world, Wladimir Klitschko. 28th of November, 2015.
“On that night, I said, today, Tyson Fury goes down as a legend. That was before the fight. Never mind beating him, and going on to do exactly what I did. Come on! I’ve been celebrating that every day, Wladimir, for 10 years. Thank you, Wlad, for making me a multi-millionaire, a very successful and multi-time world champion. Get up there, you sucker! Ha Ha!,” said Fury.
