Turki Alalshikh Teases Boots Ennis vs Teofimo Lopez and Big Fights Ahead
At the press conference for Ring III, Edgar Berlanga, Hamzah Sheeraz, William Zepeda, and Shakur Stevenson spoke about their upcoming fights on July 13 at the Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens. During the event, Turki Alalshikh phoned in and addressed all those in attendance revealing some major plans for the rest of 2025.

Boots vs Teofimo Among Potential Fight Plans on the Horizon
On the July 12 card at the Louis Armstrong Stadium, Edgard Berlanga vs Hamzah Sheeraz will meet in a WBC super middleweight eliminator. The mercurial Shakur Stevenson will defend his WBC lightweight crown against William Zepeda. The rest of the card will see Alberto Puello defend his WBC super lightweight crown against Subriel Matias. The remaining fight will see David Morrell vs Imam Khataev in light heavyweight action.
Calling into the press conference, Alalshikh teased a big fight involving Matchroom: “And now, in front of everyone, we are ready. We are ready to do big fights. We have a big card in August. We have a big card in October. I’m talking with Matchroom – with Eddie Hearn, to do Boots (Ennis) vs Teofimo (Lopez).”
Teasing further big fights, His Excellency continued: “We are discussing now big fights for Garcia and Haney, and let’s go back to this card. This card is very important to me. Shakur, Zepeda, Sheeraz, Berlanga. The result of this card will affect the future.”
