At the beginning of the interview, Rafael asked the burning question we all wanted to know, is Tszyu healthy after the deep cut he sustained against Sebastian Fundora? The Australian answered without hesitation: “Perfect, one word.”
Tszyu was then asked to recollect the cut sustained in the Fundora fight and if it affected him, Tszyu said: “Looking back at it I think it did. There was plenty of emotions, I guess, running through. Blindsided. You’re constantly thinking about the cut rather than thinking about the fight.”

When asked how he fought through the blood in the bloody contest: “When it first happened I knew it wasn’t a normal cut, something that I’ve had before, what anyone has had before. This was something different because as soon as I put my head down, I remember the fountain of blood rushing,” said the Australian fighter.
He added regarding the blood flow:“The amount of blood that was coming in, I couldn’t see.”
He was then asked about the cancellation of his bout against Vergil Ortiz Jr. due to his cut not being healed, Tszyu expressed his disappointment: “I was ready to go and then didn’t get the (all) clear and yeah, I was devastated.”

Bakhram Murtzaliev and Beyond
Rafael then asked Tszyu about a possible rematch with Fundora after his bout with Murtzazaliev: “I want to just make the biggest fights happen you know. I want to keep myself busy. Keep fighting for the U.S. audience, something that’s big for me. Big dream of mine. Keep performing.”
Tszyu was then painted the scenario, should he win the IBF belt on October 19, a potential rematch with Fundora would then be a unification bout, making it a big fight. The Australian agreed and said: “Yeah, 100%. The PBC roster is big and there’s plenty of fights to be made. There’s the Charlo’s, the Errol Spence’s.”

It was then mentioned to Tszyu about Terence Crawford and the 29-year-old New South Wales native agreed, saying: “There you go. There’s plenty of fights to be made.”
He added: “You know me. I’m not here to sit down and wait. I’m here to take fights. It’s like John Wick. Hitlist and just take them out.”
