Teofimo Lopez vs Shakur Stevenson undercard confirmed for January 31

On January 31, 2026, Teofimo Lopez vs Shakur Stevenson will headline the “The Ring 6” fight card at Madison Square Garden, New York City.

These two elite fighters will clash for Lopez’s WBO super lightweight title. WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson is moving up in weight to face his fellow American. Ahead of this intriguing main event, the undercard for “The Ring 6” has now been confirmed.

Teofimo Lopez vs Shakur Stevenson set for Madison Square Garden showdown

Lopez (22-1, 13 KOs) was last seen in action on May 2, defeating Arnold Barboza Jr by unanimous decision, with the judges’ scorecards reading 116-112, 116-112, and 118-110. The Times Square card was a huge disappointment, but Lopez was the bright spark on the card.

Stevenson (24-0, 11 KOs) last appeared on the Ring III fight card at the Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York City. He produced an impressive performance, dominating and beating William Zepeda by unanimous decision, with scorecards of 118-110 x2 and 119-109.

It’s a fascinating matchup, with a win taking one to the top table in boxing, with the loser needing to rebuild.

Richardson Hitchins was set to fight Jamaine Ortiz, but it appears he has a bigger fight lined up, posting via his X account:

“I did sign to fight Jermaine Ortiz things got switched up the last second  I’m gonna be in a better fight within a very short period of time. Can’t wait to announce and defend my 140 pound title for my fans. Sorry this was out my control.”

Hitchins has now been replaced by Keyshawn Davis, who has attracted more negative press than positive in recent times, after he missed weight for his fight against Edwin De Los Santos and was stripped of his title.

The talent Davis has is clear, but it remains to be seen if he can remain focused to fulfill his vast potential.
