We have heard from both fighters at the recent press conference with the entire Matchroom Boxing card set to be shown live on DAZN. This event also has an impressive undercard and Big Fight Weekend brings you each fight from the card.

Sunny Edwards vs. Galal Yafai: Undercard Fights

Cameron Vuong vs. Gavin Gwynne

Unbeaten Cameron Vuong (6-0, 3 KOs) takes a big step up in opposition as he faces Gavin Gwynne (17-3-1, 5 KOs). This is a fascinating bout of youth vs. experience. Big Fight Weekend are going for the unanimous decision win for Vuong. Ahead of fight night, “The One” said at Thursday’s press conference: “I’m looking to put on a masterclass.”

Conah Walker vs. Lewis Ritson

The come-forward all-action Conah Walker (13-3-1, 5 KOs) returns to action against the experienced Lewis Ritson (23-4, 13 KOs). Walker pushed Lewis Crocker all the way earlier this year, and it’s difficult to see anything other than him overwhelming and stopping Ritson, who has lost his last two by stoppage.

Kieron Conway vs. Ryan Kelly

Kieron “Too Class” Conway (21-3-1, 6 KOs) will appear on the undercard against Birmingham native Ryan Kelly (19-4-1, 8 KOs). This middleweight bout will be for the vacant Commonwealth title. Big Fight Weekend are siding with Conway by unanimous decision.

Hamza Uddin vs. Benn Norman

The vastly talented Hamza Uddin (2-0, 1 KO) makes a quick turnaround after his win against Giulio Commerso and will now face Benn Norman (7-5, 0 KOs). Norman has only been stopped once, but Uddin is a real prospect, and we are going for Uddin by stoppage.

Troy Jones vs. Michael Stephenson

Troy Jones (11-0, 6 KOs) will defend his English light heavyweight title against Michael Stephenson (9-2, 0 KOs). The current champion has the better resume, with wins over Leon Willings and Prince Oko Nartey. We fancy Jones to have too much in his arsenal for Stephenson and retain his title.

Taylor Bevan vs. Greg O’Neill

2022 Commonwealth Games silver medallist Taylor Bevan (Debut) will make his professional debut on the undercard against Greg O’Neill (7-8-1, 1 KO). We are backing an impressive debut win for Bevan who recently spoke about his fighting style: “I’ve got an exciting style, I come forward and aggressive with fast hands. I’ve got a bit of power as well – fans are going to love watching me fight.”

Bevan added: “I feel like now is the right time to turn pro because everything has fallen into place for me.”

Aaron Bowen vs. James Todd

Unbeaten prospect Aaron Bowen (3-0, 2 KOs) will take the next step in his career against James Todd (4-3-2, 0 KOs) Todd won’t come to hide, but Big Fight Weekend are backing Bowen by stoppage.

Ibraheem Sulaimaan vs. Marvin Solano

The promising Ibraheem “Spider” Sulaimaan (5-0, 3 KOs) will face the durable Marvin Solano (24-20, 8 KOs) in a super featherweight bout. Sulaimaan was an outstanding amateur winning four national titles, a British title, and an East Midlands gold medal.

His manager, music artist Jaykae recently expressed his thoughts on “Spider” signing with Matchroom via his X account“I’ve been working on today getting over the line for the last 4 years. I’m so proud of you @ibraheemspiderand it’s time to show the rest of the world what you’re really about. Alhamdulilah for everything.”

Callum Smith vs. Carlos Galvan

Callum Smith (29-2, 21 KOs) returns to light heavyweight action for the first time since his crushing defeat against Artur Beterbiev. The Liverpudlian fighter will face Colombian Carlos Galvan (20-14-2, 19 KOs). BFW are backing a stoppage win for “Mundo.”
