Estrada Career Recapped

Estrada retires undefeated, having won world titles in two weight classes. Her 13-year career will be remembered – for her ability to perform on the biggest stage, as proven by her 7-0 record in title fights. Estrada will be remembered for her titles but also holds a noteworthy boxing record with the fastest KO in women’s boxing history at seven seconds.

A decorated 13-year professional career is littered with high points, including when she became a unified champion after recording a shut-out unanimous decision win against then-WBC champion Tina Rupprecht. “Super Bad” then took on Leonela Paola Yudica at the Palms Casino Resort, Las Vegas, winning by unanimous decision.

The final act came on March 29 this year when the Los Angeles native faced Yokasta Valle, winning by unanimous decision (97-93 x3) to become the undisputed champion. Her footwork and defence helped ensure she stayed out of trouble and picked her shots impressively. Following that win, Estrada said: “I feel better.”  She continued: “I’m happy. It’s something I’ve been wanting for a long time, becoming undisputed. It finally happened, and I accomplished my dreams. I’m beyond overwhelmed and happy.”

“Super Bad” added: “I’m very competitive and I want to be the best. In this training camp, there were days where it was difficult for me to go to the gym. My body was hurting, my back was hurting. My hand was hurting. But I pushed through because that’s what champions do because I want to be great.”

Bob Arum Praises Estrada

“Seniesa Estrada is a spectacular person and fighter, and I know she can look forward to a happy and productive life outside the ring,” said Top Rank Chairman Bob Arum. “Everyone at Top Rank will miss promoting her boxing career.”
