Rafael Espinoza vs. Arnold Khegai press conference quotes and fight prediction

Rafael Espinoza (27-0, 23 KOs) will soon put his WBO featherweight world title at stake against Arnold Khegai (23-2-1, 14 KOs).

Their bout headlines a Top Rank and Zanfer Boxing card at the Arena Potosí in San Luis Potosí, México. Fight fans in the country can catch the action live on Azteca. Those in the United States can do so on the Top Rank Classics FAST channel on either Roku, Tubi, or Vizio.

Both men spoke at a press conference ahead of their November 15 contest. Below is some of what they had to say.

Rafael Espinoza vs. Arnold Khegai press conference quotes

Rafael Espinoza

“I’m pleased to be fighting again in México and coming back here as a world champion,” said Espinoza in Spanish.

“I know what it’s like to fight for a world title. When you fight for a world title, you come with everything and more. So, I know he’s going to come with everything. I expect that from him, and I trained for that.”

Arnold Khegai

“I’m very happy because this is the biggest fight of my career so far,” said Khegai. “I’ve been waiting forever for this kind of fight, and Saturday will be a defining moment in my career.”

“The fact that I’m in México doesn’t matter to me. It doesn’t matter that I’m in enemy territory. There will only be two fighters in the ring.”

Fight prediction

Espinoza’s height and reach make him a nightmare to face. His 74-inch reach means he can throw his hard shots from a safe distance. Khegai, with a 66-inch reach, is going to have a hard time closing the distance between the two and land his punches. Expect a stoppage win for Espinoza within eight rounds.
