Queensberry Promotions sign two elite amateur standouts from Uzbekistan
Queensberry has announced two intriguing signings with elite amateurs, Asadkhuja Muydinkhujaev and Javokhir Ummataliev signing their first professional contracts. Both won gold medals at the 2025 World Boxing Championships in Liverpool, reaffirming their status as two of the most talented amateurs in the sport.
Ummataliev is an exceptional technician who defeated Marco Verde, Omari Jones, and Roniel Iglesias in the amateurs, proving his pedigree. At 20, it will be fascinating to watch his development in the light heavyweight division. Muydinkhujaev will fight in the welterweight division and also won gold at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, in addition to his more recent gold in Liverpool.
The future for Muydinkhujaev and Ummataliev
These two red-hot prospects look destined for the upper echelons of the boxing world. Under the guidance of Queensberry Promotions, they are in safe hands.
Reading the press release on the Queensberry Promotions website, it’s clear they are excited by their latest recruits and describe the signings: Queensberry believes these two exceptional prospects have the potential to rise fast, capture major titles, and become future stars of the sport.
Both the welterweight and light heavyweight divisions have plenty of talent. It will be difficult to hold these two back, and we should see them progress rapidly through their respective divisions. Uzbek fighters can often be difficult to match, with their obvious talents but lack of commercial appeal, leading many fighters to look elsewhere for opportunities. Considering Queensberry’s connections with Riyadh Season, chances should be plenty with Queensberry confirming both men will make their professional debuts in Russia this weekend.
