Oscar De La Hoya fires back at Dana White and Zuffa Boxing

Oscar De La Hoya and Dana White have made it clear they will never be on each other’s Christmas card list. White has found himself a regular topic of conversation on De La Hoya’s weekly “Clap Back Thursday” social media segment. The UFC president and Zuffa promoter has made it clear that the dislike is mutual. Appearing on The Ariel Helwani Show, De La Hoya has taken a new shot at Dana White, while telling Zuffa what they must do to be considered legitimate.

Appearing at a recent Zuffa event, White said of De La Hoya:

“Oscar is on a sinking ship and will not shut the f**k up,” he remarked before adding, “This guy is fascinating. He’s going to have to throw the panties and stockings back on and get on OnlyFans to start paying his rent.”

When asked about some of White’s recent comments, De La Hoya said:

“Dana White is full of sh*t… Please, come on, Uncle Fester, that’s all you have is pantyhose. He probably f***ing watches that picture and probably loves it. That’s why he talks about it so much. He loves them,” added De La Hoya.

De La Hoya sets the bar for Zuffa Boxing

Helwani asked Oscar De La Hoya for his assessment of Zuffa so far:

“Zuffa will be a true boxing promoter when they cultivate a fighter from scratch—when they produce a world champion from zero, not by putting on Jai Opetaia fighting for a fake belt, the Zuffa belt. Not a fighter like Conor Benn, whom they have to pay $15 million just to put on their platform.

“When you cultivate and produce a world champion from zero, that’s when I will maybe consider you a boxing promoter. But until then, they fought Jai Opetaia in front of 500 people in a basement at the Apex at Zuffa. Jai Opetaia deserves a lot more than that,” said De La Hoya.
