Nakisa Bidarian names the ‘perfect next fight’ for Moses Itauma
On March 28, at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester, Moses Itauma vs Jermaine Franklin headlined a Queensberry Promotions fight card, live on DAZN.
Franklin was thought by many to be the man who could take Itauma into deep waters, but the 21-year-old had other ideas. Itauma ultimately won the fight by fifth-round TKO. After this sensational win, attention quickly turned to who could be next for Itauma, and Most Valuable Promotions co-founder Nakisa Bidarian has appeared on talkSPORT, naming the “Perfect next fight” for the Chatham fighter.

Itauma (14-0, 12 KOs) started fast, showcasing slick movement and blistering hand speed, leaving Franklin (24-3, 15 KOs) troubled. The American tried to punch with Itauma, but the Chatham man was just too fast and accurate.
A well-placed sharp right hand in round three knocked Franklin down, who did well to make it to the end of the round. Itauma increased the pressure in round five, landing a devastating uppercut that left Franklin falling to the canvas. Itauma then landed a right hand to finish the job in style, leaving referee Steve Gray with no option but to wave the fight off. That was a brutally efficient statement from Moses Itauma.

Itauma’s future remains to be seen, but the boxing world is eagerly awaiting the next step for this heavyweight phenomenon.
Most Valuable Promotions co-founder Nakisa Bidarian spoke about a massive stamp of approval, before naming the ideal next step for Itauma:
“First of all, I saw a Nike on his vest, a Nike swoosh. So, I don’t know if he’s already signed to Nike or not, but I would assume that may seem that he is, and that’s a massive stamp of approval. And I think, probably the first UK boxer that they’ve been involved with, if they’re involved with him.
“Second of all, if we talk about Anthony Joshua, and what he did in coming to MSG with Andy Ruiz (35-2-1, 22 KOs), that’s the perfect next fight. Come to the US, get in there against Andy Ruiz, and show the world.
“Obviously, Andy Ruiz today is probably not the same Andy Ruiz as 2017, but show the world how you’re different from when Joshua was able to deliver.”
