Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2: Keyshawn Davis weighs in

On September 19 at the Sphere in Las Vegas, Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2 is set to headline a fight card promoted by Manny Pacquiao Promotions and Mayweather Promotions in partnership with CSI Sports/FIGHT SPORTS. The bout will stream exclusively on Netflix.

A rematch of these two greats was not on many bingo cards for 2026. But here we are, these two greats are facing off once again. Keyshawn Davis is one of the newer generation of fighters, and the talented Norfolk native spoke to Fight Hype TV.

Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2 set for September 19

Mayweather (50-0, 27 KOs) announced his retirement after stopping Conor McGregor, with a perfect undefeated record. He very rarely looked troubled and defeated some of the most talented fighters, including Canelo, Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton, and Jose Luis Castillo.

Pacquiao (62-8-3, 39 KOs) did what many fighters dream of, successfully fighting his way up in the weights. His best wins came against Juan Manuel Marquez, Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton, and Marco Antonio Barrera. He recently returned to action, drawing against the then-WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios.

“Floyd and I gave the world what remains the biggest fight in boxing history,” said Pacquiao in a press release statement. “The fans have waited long enough—they deserve this rematch, and it will be even bigger now that it will be streamed live globally on Netflix. I want Floyd to live with the one loss on his professional record and always remember who gave it to him. As always, I dedicate this fight to my fellow Filipinos around the world and to bringing glory to the Philippines.”

“I already fought and beat Manny once,” said Mayweather in the same press release. “This time will be the same result.”

“It’s a legendary fight. I feel like it’s going to be a different fight now that they’re at two different ages. They both retired for a long time, and I think it’s going to be a different fight,” said Davis when speaking to FightHype.

“Floyd, for sure. Because he already won the first time. You are only as good as your last performance, you know what I’m saying? Last performance Floyd won.”
