Davis was asked if he sees himself as a bigger test for Lemos than Richardson Hitchins was, and the Norfolk native responded with confidence: “I’m the best at 135 period, and I’m here to show the world. I’m not trying to say I’m the best when I become world champion. I’m not trying to say I’m the best when I become the face of boxing. I’m saying I’m the best right now and I’m going to continue to show that.”
Future Plans
When asked what he sees in store for himself in 2025, Davis said: “I’m ranked number three in three sanctioning bodies, that’s one step, and then the guy (Denys) Berinchyk that’s from Ukraine, we DM all the time. We talk about how we could make the fight happen next year.”
