Junto Nakatani vs. Vincent Astrolabio: Press Conference Quotes and Fight Prediction
Junto Nakatani (27-0, 20 KOs) will be making the first defence of his WBC bantamweight title against Vincent Astrolabio (19-4, 14 KOs).
The two men clash in the main event of a Teiken Promotions card at the Kokugikan Arena in Tokyo, Japan. Fight fans in the United States can catch the action live on ESPN+. Those in Japan can do so on Prime Video. Nakatani defends his belt for the first time after winning it by technical knockout against Alexandro Santiago in February earlier this year. On the other hand, Astrolabio stopped Navapon Khaikanha in a WBC eliminator, putting him in line to eventually challenge for the title.
Ahead of their bout, both fighters spoke at a press conference. Below are brief statements made by the two.

Fight Prediction
Nakatani continues to go from strength to strength as his career progresses and it feels like that will not be ending any time soon. At just 26 years of age, he has already won world titles in three different weight classes. Astrolabio has only been knocked out once in his four losses and that took place just over six years ago. The Filipino fighter has evolved and accomplished much more since the defeat, but this may be more than he can chew. Expect a stoppage win for Nakatani sometime before the tenth round, who looks destined to move onto bigger fights.
