Joseph Parker vs Fabio Wardley Set for October 25 in London
Heavyweight Contenders Set for ‘All or Nothing’ Clash
October 25 will see Wardley and Parker put it all on the line, with the winner becoming the next due mandatory to face undisputed champion Usyk.
The WBO has granted Usyk an extension to delay the mandatory fight, which left Parker needing to find another opponent. In typical Parker fashion, he is taking a big risk facing the dangerous Wardley.

Parker is in a great run of form, having won six in a row since losing to Joe Joyce. Last time out, he knocked out late replacement Martin Bakole, who stepped in at short notice following the withdrawal of Daniel Dubois. Following an impressive win in the rematch against Frazer Clarke, Wardley was behind on all three scorecards against Justis Huni, before landing a huge punch in the tenth round to win by stoppage.

“Neither Joe or Fabio wanted to wait about and protect their positions and credit to them both for this,” said Warren, who promotes both men. “I believe this is a genuine even-money fight with a mesh of styles that I am sure will be eye-catching and highly crowd-pleasing,” said Warren.
“This will be a corker of a heavyweight clash and one which will shine a huge light on the division,” Warren added. “Fights like this one are as good as it can get outside of the champion defending his belts and the sort we want to see happen.
