Historic Double Card in Tokyo: Seven World Title Fights Set for October

Japan has hosted some memorable fights in recent times with Naoya Inoue having all his fights in his home country since his 2021 win over Michael Dasmarinas in Las Vegas. Many other great fights have taken place and Teiken Promotions have been at the heart of the making of these great fights. Japanese boxing is set for a historic double card at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, with two cards taking place on October 13 and 14, featuring seven title fights. The cards will stream in the United States in the early morning each day on ESPN+.

Japanese Boxing: Bantamweight Bouts Headline Cards Featuring Seven World Title fights

Takuma Inoue and Junto Nakatani Set to Star

Teiken Promotions have announced the historic double card on October 13 and 14 at the Ariake Arena. In the main event on October 13, we will see the return of Takuma Inoue (20-1, 5 KOs), the brother of pound-for-pound star Naoya Inoue face countryman Seiya Tsutsumi (11-0-2, 8 KOs). Takuma has won both of his bouts in 2024, stopping Jerwin Ancajas and beating Sho Ishida by unanimous decision.

The October 14 card will see the big punching WBC bantamweight titlist Junto Nakatani (28-0, 21 KOs) take on Petch Sor Chitpattana (76-1, 53 KOs). Wins in the main event for Inoue and Nakatani could lead to a much-anticipated unification fight.

In the co-feature on October 13, the impressive Kenshiro Teraji (23-1, 14 KOs) will face Cristofer Rosales (37-6, 22 KOs) for the vacant WBC world flyweight title after vacating his WBC and WBA light flyweight belts.
