Carl Froch gives brutal three-word assessment of Jake Paul’s ability ahead of Gervonta Davis fight
On November 14, at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis will headline a Most Valuable Promotions card live on Netflix in a 10-round exhibition bout.
Former super middleweight world champion Carl Froch has spoken to Football Blog, revealing a brutal three-word assessment of Jake Paul’s fighting ability, and predicting an easy night for Gervonta Davis.
Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis – exhibition rules revealed
At the recent New York presser, the rules for this highly anticipated exhibition were revealed by Nakisa Bidarian:
- Both fighters will wear 12-ounce gloves.
- The weight limit for the fight will be 195 pounds.
- Three ringside judges will score the contest.
Bidarian explained to the press:
“There will be a victor because the fighters have agreed, and the commission has approved,” revealed Bidarian when speaking to the press in attendance.
“[There will be] a maximum weight of 195 pounds for this exhibition. The fight will be contested over 10, three-minute rounds, and when Tank and Jake enter the squared circle to go to battle, they will be wearing 12-ounce gloves.
“Sitting ringside will be three commission-approved world-class professional judges that will score every round to ensure there’s a decisive outcome for the fight if it goes the distance.”
Carl Froch delivers brutal three-word assessment of Jake Paul’s ability
When asked about the Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) vs Davis (30-0-1, 28 KOs) fight, Froch said:
“I think if Tank Davis wanted to, he wouldn’t get hit with a shot. He is a great fighter. Like one of the best. He’s an unbelievable talent. There’s no way Jake Paul can lay a glove on him.
“The size won’t matter, he’s slower. Jake Paul is not a boxer. He’s a performing clown. He’s f**king useless. He can’t fight. He literally cannot fight. He’s absolutely f**king crap. So when he is in there against Gervonta Davis, Davis can just play with him.”
