Isaac Cruz vs Lamont Roach – Teddy Atlas breaks it down

On Saturday, December 6, at the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Isaac Cruz vs Lamont Roach Jr headlines a Premier Boxing Champions fight card, live on Prime Video and PPV.com. The main event will be for the WBC interim super lightweight title.

Ahead of this intriguing fight, Teddy Atlas has broken down the fight on his own THE FIGHT with Teddy Atlas podcast.

Teddy Atlas analyses Isaac Cruz vs Lamont Roach

When looking at Isaac Cruz (28-3-1, 18 KOs) vs Lamont Roach (25-1-2, 10 KOs), Atlas gave his breakdown on the fight, with the strengths of both fighters:

“Real interesting. Roach is the better technical fighter; let’s get that out of the way.

“He’s the purist. He’s the sweet science guy, right? But he’s also the guy who’s probably not as much fun to watch as Cruz. We love Cruz. Not that Roach ain’t fun to watch. I love to watch a surgeon at work. And he can be a surgeon.

“Not that I want to see anybody cut up, don’t get me wrong, but I mean, I love to watch an artist. Cruz throws more punches. I’ll make it real simple. He throws more punches. He’s the busier guy. He gets his engine going, and it gets going.”
