On Saturday, November 15, at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn 2 headlines a Sela Promotions event, in association with Matchroom and Boxxer. Ring Magazine and Riyadh Season will sponsor the event.
Ahead of this rematch, Benn’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, recently spoke to Fight Hub TV, backing his fighter to get the job done, while discussing a potential third fight between Eubank Jr and Benn.
Eddie Hearn backs Conor Benn ahead of Eubank 2 and addresses potential trilogy
The first fight between Eubank Jr (35-3, 25 KOs) and Benn (23-1, 14 KOs) was a brilliant back-and-forth clash with action throughout the 12 rounds. It was a bout that exceeded many expectations, leaving many to wonder if the rematch can match or surpass the first fight. The cleaner work from Eubank Jr was the difference, and he won unanimously with scorecards of 116-112 x3.
“I truly believe Conor will win next Saturday,” said Hearn to Fight Hub TV.
When asked if Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn 3 is a possibility should Benn win, Hearn said:
“There isn’t anything in the paperwork, and our goal is to move back down and win a world title. But, if it’s another fight like we saw last time and Conor Benn wins, yeah, I wouldn’t rule out a third, but it’s not in the plans at the moment,” added Hearn.
