Fabio Wardley vs Daniel Dubois: Frank Warren names the favourite
When asked about Fabio Wardley vs Daniel Dubois, Warren said: “It’s a big, big fight. Two big punchers. Don’t blink. I mean, that’s the name of the fight, and that’s what you…don’t blink, because anything can happen with these guys. They can punch. They’re walk-forward fighters. It ain’t going the distance. It won’t go the distance. And it’s who’s gonna land that bomb first.”
When asked who he feels the favourite is going in, Warren said: “I find it very difficult. I think there’s a case for both of them to be favourite. But the form fighter, obviously, is Fabio. He’s done everything that’s been asked of him. He’s learnt on the job. He beat Joe Parker, and a lot of people didn’t fancy him at all. And he showed what he’s all about. He upset a good quality heavyweight fighter and stopped him, and done it in style. And he’s done it on quite a few occasions now. So, he’ll fancy it.
“Daniel, he wants to redeem himself. He’s going straight in the deep end. So, he’ll be giving everything because he’s got to. This is one of those fights where everything’s on the line. Can Daniel Dubois become a three-time world champion?”
