Deontay Wilder vs Derek Chisora – Tyson Fury makes his prediction

Deontay Wilder vs Derek Chisora are finalising a deal to fight in London in April, as revealed by Brunch Boxing and later by Dan Rafael at Fight Freaks Unite and others.

Online videos showing Chisora signing a piece of paper and a video call between Chisora and Wilder insinuate that negotiations are progressing well. Tyson Fury, a former opponent of both, recently posted a video online, weighing in on this proposed fight and offering his prediction.

Deontay Wilder vs Derek Chisora being finalised

Reports suggest Deontay Wilder vs Derek Chisora is close to being confirmed for April 4 in London. There still appear to be some contractual issues to smooth out with Queensberry Promotions, but should Chisora’s 50th fight take place against Wilder, it looks like the bout will be staged by Kalle and Nisse Sauerland, who were tagged in the latest video from Chisora.

In the video call between Wilder and Chisora, both expressed their respect for each other and excitement for the upcoming bout:

“Signed,” says Chisora, showing Wilder the paper.

“Let’s freaking go!” Wilder replies, making it clear he wants the fight.

“I hope you’re ready,” Chisora says, smiling.

“If I’m not ready then I’m gonna get ready,” Wilder says. “I’m just going to let you know, I love you, bro, this is the last phone call. Next time I see you it will be at the press conference and then after that we’ll be in the ring, baby.”

Chisora agrees with respect. “This is the last phonecall from me too, bro,” he says. “I’m just phoning to tell you, bro, good luck.”

Rumours have circulated that the fight will be broadcast by Sky Sports on their pay-per-view platform, but this and other matters still need to be finalised.

Discussing the planned Deontay Wilder vs Derek Chisora fight:

“I’ve just heard that Derek Chisora is going to fight Deontay Wilder, two men who I’ve fought three times each,” said Fury.

“I think it’s a very, very good fight but on this I’m going to go with my boy, Del Boy ‘War’ Chisora, for a stoppage… There should be a belt on the line here so, one of you sanctioning bodies, we’ve got two legendary fighters here,” said “The Gypsy King.”
