‘I just think he’s a bully’: Darren Till gives honest opinion of John Fury
After John Fury’s weird and downright ridiculous rant at Carl Froch while at the Tyson Fury vs Arslanbek Makhmudov press conference, the boxing world has wondered if we could actually see Carl Froch vs John Fury. Darren Till, who has racked up a series of impressive wins on Misfits, spoke to the Stomping Ground, where he called Fury Sr a bully.
John Fury rants at Carl Froch
Froch and Fury Sr have a history due to Froch openly criticising his role in his son’s boxing career. The bizarre incident saw Froch standing on a raised platform with Lennox Lewis, where Fury could see him, leading to John screaming:
“Get that f***ing Carl Froch here.
“If he wants it I’m here. If you’re not willing to put up shut up.
“Run like a b***h Carl Froch, run like a b***h.”
His bizarre rant continued, despite knowing exactly where Froch was. Backstage, Fury also insulted the BBC commentator and respected journalist Steve Bunce, for which he has since apologised.
Darren Till gives honest opinion on John Fury
Speaking to The Stomping Ground on the John Fury incident, Darren Till said: “He’s running around with his top off, saying he’s gonna do this and that, but Carl was there present. Like if you were really going to do it, you would just do it. I think he’s a proper bully, and he talks about (being a) fighting man, I don’t buy none of it. I don’t buy it. I’ve been in this boxing world, and I don’t think I’ve ever heard someone say a wrong word about Peter (Fury). I’ve met Shane. Shane is a very nice fella.
“I don’t know how they feel about me now, obviously, with the John and Tommy thing, but John’s a proper bully. I’ve seen what he’s done with Carl Frampton as well. You just don’t do that. I think he picks his mark. I’ve seen him headbutt lads half his size. I’ll be honest, I just think he’s a bully.”
