Following the heavyweight action at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, CA on August 3, one of the prospects in the division Dainier Pero (8-0, 6 KOs) has spoken about his belief after watching the Riadyh Season card. His coach Bob Santos has also spoken about the potential of his fighter and tipped him to become a force in the division.

Heavyweight Prospect Believes He Can Become a Force in the Division

Dainier Pero Targets the Best Heavyweights

After seeing the heavyweight action in LA, unbeaten Cuban heavyweight Dainier “The Fear” Pero believes he can mix it with any of the top heavyweights in the world.

The latest victory by Pero was impressive as he stopped James Evans in the fifth round of their clash at the Caribe Royale Hotel in Orlando as part of the Most Valuable Prospects 7 card. During that latest win and throughout his professional career, the Cuban has shown his impressive power and slick footwork.

Following the latest win, Pero spoke about his own confidence in his ability to compete with the best: “After watching this past weekend’s fights, I truly believe my speed and footwork give me an edge against any heavyweight out there,” said Pero.

Pero continued: “I showed a lot in my last fight. I’m ready to take on anyone and prove that I belong among the best in the division.”

The Cuban heavyweight also discussed his desire to climb the heavyweight rankings: “My latest victory was a statement, but it’s only the beginning,” said Pero as he continues to climb the heavyweight rankings. “I’m ready to step up and take on bigger challenges. I want to prove myself against the best and continue my journey to the top of the heavyweight division.”

Bob Santos the trainer of Pero has also spoken about his fighter’s ability: “I’ve trained many fighters, but Dainier Pero is something special. His combination of speed, power, and footwork is amazing. I firmly believe we have the next great heavyweight star in boxing. He’s a bigger version of Oleksandr Usyk.”
