Conor Benn Next Fight: Benn Reveals Plans Following Eubank Jr Loss
Despite losing the grudge match against Eubank Jr, Benn came out of the fight earning plenty of plaudits with the bravery and ability he showed on April 26 in London. “The Destroyer” has been linked with possible fights against Ryan Garcia, Mario Barrios and Manny Pacquiao.
When appearing on the ArielxAde show, Benn spoke about the future, including the potential rematch: “If I don’t do Eubank next, that ship sailed. It has to be Eubank next. If it’s not Eubank then that chapter closed and I drop down to 147. I would prefer (Devin) Haney out of the lot of them. But then again, I don’t fancy catching a lawsuit, so I’ll probably give that a swerve.”
Conor Benn Next Fight: The Future
Benn’s career has been marked by uncertainty in recent years, following his two failed tests in 2022 that led to the cancellation of their originally scheduled bout. His return became official when the UK Anti-Doping and British Board of Boxing Control decided not to appeal the lifting of his suspension.
Whoever is next for Benn, his increased popularity since the Eubank fight ensures he’ll have plenty of support. Inactivity caused by the failed tests in 2022 stalled his career, so staying active now is paramount. The chances for “The Destroyer” should be plentiful.
