Carl Froch sides with Chris Eubank Jr and tears into Eddie Hearn after press conference

On November 15, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn 2 will headline an event promoted by Sela and sponsored by Ring Magazine and Riyadh Season.

They memorably fought each other back on April 26, 2025, in a fight of the year candidate for many. The rematch is now set, and the undercard has been announced.

Both fighters and their teams recently met at a press conference, where Eubank Jr and Eddie Hearn had an uncomfortable back-and-forth. Following this presser, Carl Froch spoke to The Football Blog and gave his take on the Eubank and Benn confrontation.

April 26 went down in history as one of the most entertaining nights in British boxing. The build-up was full of spice and intrigue, and the main event did not disappoint. It was a 12-round war that left everyone on the edge of their seat. 

Eubank Jr did enough, winning by unanimous decision, with all three scorecards scoring it 116-112.

Following the press conference back-and-forth between Hearn and Eubank, Froch defended Eubank, while slamming Eddie Hearn:

“I think Chris has got his reasons for being annoyed with Eddie Hearn. But for him to slag off Robert Smith, I think that’s a mistake and one that he’ll probably regret. I haven’t got a problem with him calling out Eddie Hearn. Eddie Hearn should sit there and keep his mouth shut. I don’t think he should be speaking. I don’t even know why Eddie turned up. He turned up and just made a mug of himself. Eddie has got a great whopping ego.”
