Anthony Joshua takes aim at Tyson Fury while praising Joseph Parker and Fabio Wardley
Anthony Joshua captivated the British public when winning the gold medal at the 2012 Olympic Games.
He raced to 22-0 before suffering a shock defeat to Andy Ruiz, which he avenged six months later. He has filled stadiums and faced some of the best heavyweights of this generation.
Since his defeat to Daniel Dubois, many have speculated whether he would return, but Joshua has posted on his Instagram story, teasing a return, while praising two heavyweights and taking a fresh swipe at Tyson Fury.
Anthony Joshua teases ring return on IG – ‘I’ll be back’
Anthony Joshua teases ring return on IG with bold message
Taking to his Instagram story, Joshua had plenty to say:
“ICL I’m proud of Joseph Parker even tho he is a competitor. Real recognises real. He’s in the game to fight whoever, whenever and that’s the DNA of a real general. Unlike his dippy mate, Tyson Fury.
“I would dissect his career/record in minutes but I’ll leave that for a potential gloves are off if he ever comes back and fights Big Femi.
“Fabio Wardley respect to you aswell. Bro was working in recruitment helping your dad get a job a couple of years ago.
“Let that be a testament to God rooting in one’s favour and a statement to show, nothing is impossible (if you can have a scrap haha)
“To my supporters, I’ll be back to lace up my boots and put on my gloves sooner than later, hopefully punching Fury’s head in and dancing around his flicker jab with ease.”
Anthony Joshua’s comeback options
It seems as if Joshua wants to return, and he has options, with varying degrees of difficulty and reward.
The rumoured fight against Jake Paul appears to be on the table. Tony Yoka has also been mentioned as a possible opponent, and so has Dubois.
It remains to be seen what AJ has left following the devastating defeat to Dubois.
It wasn’t the fact that he lost, it was the manner of the defeat, and the way Joshua was bullied from the first bell.
