Anthony Joshua Reveals His Belief Ahead of Francis Ngannou Clash
On Friday, March 8, Anthony Joshua (27-3, 24 KOs) and Francis Ngannou (0-1 in boxing, 17-3 in MMA) will meet in the main event of “Knockout Chaos” at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In preparation for this titanic clash, AJ has spoken to Sky Sports and revealed a clear belief he has about the upcoming fight.
AJ Reveals Belief Ahead of Ngannou Clash
Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou
Ahead of the “Knockout Chaos” main event, Joshua has spoken to Sky Sports about his belief that he can defeat his Cameroonian opponent in style. The British fighter is enjoying a renaissance, winning his last three fights, most recently dominating Otto Wallin.
Ngannou narrowly lost to Tyson Fury by a split decision but despite this impressive debut showing, AJ is full of self-belief and feels he can win in style: “I believe I can knock him out.” He continued: “Definitely. I would love to knock him out and make a statement. “Physically I feel strong, feeling good. Strong enough to get the job done and mentally I’m in a place where I’m ready for war. I’m looking forward to the challenge.”

Talking about preparing to face an opponent, AJ said: “Mentally I don’t worry so much about my opponent and look at what my opponent can bring to me and think, ‘how can I overcome these challenges they present?’ I work really hard to up my game and look forward to showing everything I’ve worked on.”

Recently, Ngannou has spoken to Dan Rafael on the Fight Freaks Unite/Big Fight Weekend podcast about his upcoming fight vs. AJ and his bout against Fury.

Talking about surprising everyone, including Fury on his professional debut and Joshua now understanding the risks he poses, Ngannou said: “Then it’s up to me to find another way to be sneaky.”
Explaining what he expects from Joshua: “Expecting him to come prepared and come for war. “He’s going to come with everything that he has.”
