Queensberry Promotions Sign ‘Blue Chip’ Prospect With ‘Huge Power in Both Hands’
Queensberry Promotions have announced their latest recruit to their ever-growing stable, with the signing of undefeated super middleweight prospect Abel Gonzalez (7-0, 5 KOs). The Nevada native is the third American in the past few weeks to join the stable after Brandun Lee and Nathan Lugo joined the British promotional company.

Keith Connolly Reacts to Deal
Gonzalez enjoyed an impressive amateur career which saw him win a silver medalist at the 2021 U.S. Nationals and become a two-time U.S. National Golden Gloves champion (2017 and 2021). In his professional career, his power has stood out, gaining four first-round knockouts. The most recent triumph was a brilliant TKO opening-round, win against the previously undefeated Alarenz Reynolds.
This deal is a great move by Gonzalez, especially with Queensberry’s involvement in the Riyadh Season cards. His co-manager Keith Connolly has spoken to Fight Freaks Unite about the deal: “When I signed blue-chip prospect Abel Gonzalez I knew he needed to be with one of the big promotional powerhouses,” Connolly, who co-manages Gonzalez with Ryan Rickey, told Fight Freaks Unite.
He continued: “Queensbury was the landing spot that fit him the best. Frank and George Warren were looking to make amove into the United States talent pool and they believe in Abel’s future as much I do.”
Connolly also spoke about one of Gonzalez’s best attributes and revealed the expectations they have for the 26-year-old: “The kid has huge power in both hands and wants to move quickly through the pro ranks. I expect him to be a world champion and one of the stars of the 168-pound division in the next few years.”
The Future
Under the tutelage of Frank and George Warren, Gonzalez will seemingly get plenty of opportunities to impress. The super middleweight division has a plethora of established and promising fighters, meaning we could see a lot of the undefeated super middleweight prospect.
