During the fight with Chukhadzhian, “Boots” had to overcome a few difficult moments. The Ukrainian fighter was a lot more active than the last time these two faced each other. In the post-fight press conference, Hearn revealed: “PBC have already messaged me, saying could we step aside (Shakhram) Giyasov and go straight into Stanionis (vs. Boots). They’re going to look at that performance and fancy their chances.”
The Matchroom Sport chairman continued: “Oscar De La Hoya has been tweeting, we’re ready Vergil Ortiz against Boots. I like that. But what they don’t understand is that when Boots is fighting those guys – it’s all about trying to make it entertaining. The first fight was a stinker. I actually thought that was a good fight tonight. And by the way, I also think that guy (Chukhadzhian) beats most 147-pounders.”
