Three potential options for Jake Paul after Gervonta Davis

On November 14, Jake Paul vs Tank Davis will headline a Most Valuable Promotions fight card at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, live on Netflix for all subscribers.

This exhibition has already attracted controversy, and Big Fight Weekend brings you three options for Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) after the 10-round exhibition on November 14.

Three options for Jake Paul after Tank Davis – Darren Till

The first option we are presenting is Darren Till (3-0, 2 KOs). The Liverpudlian former UFC star is rejuvenated since moving to Misfits Boxing, including a comprehensive stoppage of Luke Rockhold last time out.

Till is light on his feet and carries plenty of power from his southpaw stance. He works well off his jab and looks to control both distance and tempo in his fights, which he does effectively. The build-up to a Paul vs Till fight would be box office, and “The Gorilla” has more than enough to trouble Paul.

Tommy Fury

Next up on our list of potential opponents for Jake Paul is a rematch with Tommy Fury (11-0, 4 KOs). Paul disappointed on the night of Paul vs Fury 1, and was mostly outworked by Fury, who survived a flash knockdown to earn a deserved split decision victory.

There is clearly no love lost between these two, and occasionally they verbally spar on X, but will they ever get a rematch? I believe it’s a question of when, not if, we see Paul vs Fury 2.

Fury has only thought twice since beating Paul, whereas “El Gallo” has remained active, winning all six fights, including against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Fury punches with thought when he fights, picking his shots well, keeping his output high. Do we need to see a rematch? If it happens, who wins?

Floyd Masson

The final name we are proposing is New Zealand native Floyd Masson (17-2, 9 KOs). Fighting under the Australian flag, the 33-year-old southpaw has won his last three bouts since a unanimous decision loss to the experienced Mateusz Masternak.

The Australian is hovering around the top 10 in the WBC cruiserweight world rankings. Paul has mentioned fighting for a world title in the past, and this would help him move up the rankings, should he win.

Masson has notable wins over Fabio Turchi, John Parker, and Joshua Francis. Masson would present a credible challenge to Paul. He carries plenty of power and will look to walk Paul down and work his body before teeing up his trademark left hand.

Paul vs Masson, on the surface, is maybe not an attractive fight, but the Australian fighters normally attract plenty of support, and a fight in Australia, involving Jake Paul, could be huge down under.
