On Saturday, September 27, live from the Canon Medical Arena in Sheffield, Ben Crocker vs Sean McComb headlines a GBM Sports card on DAZN. The main event will see Crocker defend his IBF European super lightweight title against McComb.

Gradus Kraus vs Scott Forrest
It was the cruiserweights next, with the heavy-handed Gradus Kraus (8-0, 7 KOs) against Scott Forrest (7-2, 4 KOs).
It was an explosive opening round with Kraus showing quick hands and footwork to befuddle Forrest, before landing a sharp left hook to knock Forrest down. Kraus continued his domination against a brave Forrest.
The variation and power from the 24-year-old was eye-catching.
The South African-born Scotsman enjoyed some success in the third and landed some impressive punches on Kraus, and seemingly began to turn the tide.
The Dutchman recovered well in the fourth round, varying his attacks and showcasing good movement. The third round revival was a distant memory just three minutes later. A brutal fifth round saw Kraus deliver a beatdown on a brave Forrest.
Another one-sided round occurred in the sixth and final round. Forrest’s corner and the referee need to take a hard look at themselves. The Scotsman was brave, but someone should have rescued him at the end of the fourth round. The referee’s scorecard read 60-53 in favour of the silky Dutchman.
Tysie Gallagher vs Ellie Hellewell
Next up was Tysie Gallagher (10-2, 0 KOs) vs Ellie Hellewell (7-1, 1 KO) for Gallagher’s British and Commonwealth women’s titles. The WBO international super bantamweight belt was also up for grabs.
It was a cagey opening round, with Hellewell looking to control the distance with her height and reach advantage. During the early rounds, the countering from Hellewell was catching the eye.
Gallagher produced an impressive third round as she moved in and out of range, picking her shots. The feints, accuracy, and movement of Gallagher saw her begin to pick up the rounds.
As the rounds progressed, Gallagher continued to move and pick her punches impressively. Hellewell started well, but Tysie’s experience saw her quickly into her groove.
The fight continued in the same vein, with Gallagher boxing and moving, slipping many of Hellewell’s punches. An accomplished performance from the Luton fighter, with the judges agreeing with scorecards of 97-93, 98-93, and 97-94, meaning Tysie retains her British, Commonwealth, and WBO international super bantamweight belts.
Shakiel Thompson vs Grant Dennis
In the middleweight division, it was Shakiel Thompson (15-0, 11 KOs) vs the experienced Grant Dennis (19-17, 3 KOs). Thompson started well, showing slick movement and impressive accuracy.
In the second round, Thompson landed a left hook, followed by a brutal right hand to the body, forcing Dennis to take a knee. The Chatham fighter was unable to beat the count. An impressive second-round KO win. A big fight seemingly beckons for the Sheffield fighter.
Ed Hardy vs Jose Manuel Perez
First up on the Ben Crocker vs Sean McComb main undercard live on DAZN was Ed Hardy (5-0, 2 KOs) vs Jose Manuel Perez (15-25-1, 10 KOs) in a super bantamweight contest.
Hardy settled well, landing eye-catching body shots. An impressive change of tempo in the third round saw Hardy land with even more regularity. “Farm Boy” continued to boss the exchanges, while his accuracy was also impressive.
Hardy boxed impressively in parts, putting his shots together, and dominated the experienced and durable Perez. These are valuable rounds for “Farm Boy.” The referee’s scorecard read 60-54.
Taz Nadeem vs Marius Mihai Dumitru
Next up was Taz Nadeem (7-0, 4 KOs) vs Marius Mihai Dumitru (1-5, 1 KO) in the super middleweight division.
Nadeem started brightly, applying pressure, landing some heavy shots. Despite looking in trouble in the first round, Dumitru began to look more comfortable and had his moments during round two.
A series of right-hand shots in the fourth round saw Dumitru fall to the canvas, giving Nadeem the knockdown.
Another knockdown came in the fifth round, and despite beating the count, the referee waved the fight off, awarding “The Butcher” a fifth-round TKO victory.
Reece Mould vs Benito Sanchez Garcia
Next up on the Ben Crocker vs Sean McComb prelims was Reece Mould (21-4, 6 KOs) vs Benito Sanchez Garcia (17-12-3, 5 KOs) in the super lightweight division.
It was a bright start with Garcia looking to stand toe-to-toe with Mould, with both landing heavy shots.
As the fight progressed, Mould began to get into a groove, mixing his shots well and landing some eye-catching body shots, leaving Garcia in some distress at the end of the fifth round.
It was a good performance from Mould, who impressed and will surely move on to a bigger fight next. The referee’s scorecard read 60-54.
Amaar Akbar vs Eduardo Vera Sanchez
It was the super welterweights up again, with Amaar Akbar (9-0, 1 KO) facing Eduardo Vera Sanchez (2-12-2, 0 KOs).
It was a good start from Akbar as he backed his opponent up, with Sanchez intent on making it difficult and landing counters. Akbar boxed with patience and looked at his best when he utilised his jab.
Sanchez looked to survive until the final bell, hoping to land a big counter. Akbar was always on top, and the rounds will benefit him. It would have been nice to see him increase the pressure, but his work was enough to win 60-54.
Harris Akbar vs Jack Swallow
European amateur gold medallist Harris Akbar (2-0, 0 KOs) was first up in a super welterweight contest against Jack Swallow (3-2, 1 KO).
It was an impressive start from Akbar as he mixed his shots well, landing some heavy punches. Swallow tried to fire back, but the pressure from Akbar was relentless.
The domination from Akbar continued for the remainder of this four-rounder, with brave Swallow trying to fire back in spots. The referee’s scorecard reflected the dominance, awarding Akbar the 40-36 win.
