Turki Alalshikh continues to make dream match-ups and expands the boundaries of what’s possible in boxing, following his announcement of Canelo vs Terence Crawford and the groundbreaking Times Square card on May 2. Canelo vs Crawford and Times Square Card Lead to Historic July 12 Card

Historic Venue for Berlanga vs Sheeraz Revealed for July 12

The card for July 12 had already been announced with Edgar Berlanga vs Hamzah Sheeraz headlining in a WBC super middleweight eliminator. The stellar undercard includes Shakur Stevenson and William Zepeda finally facing off for Stevenson’s WBC lightweight crown. Alberto Puello will defend his WBC super lightweight crown against Subriel Matias, while David Morrell and Imam Khataev will meet in an intriguing light heavyweight showdown.

Many have speculated on where the fight could be, especially with Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano 3 and that stacked undercard taking place on July 11, at Madison Square Garden, New York City.

The Ring Magazine has now confirmed an earlier report by Dan Rafael that Ring III will go ahead on July 12 and take place at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, NY. It should be a memorable venue for boxing with its 14k-seater stadium and retractable roof. This intimate stadium, which is known for its great atmosphere at the US Open, has the potential to be a memorable setting for modern-day boxing and a perfect host for this impressive card.
