Gervonta Davis Seen Leaving Super Bowl In Wheelchair
Sunday night’s thrilling 38-35 win in Super Bowl LVII by the Kansas City Chiefs over the Philadelphia Eagles had the sports world (at least in the U.S.) locked in on TV. And, it had the usual massive roll call of famous athletes and celebrities on hand at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ. That included one of the biggest names in boxing Gervonta Davis, but it was more noteworthy on how Davis left the stadium after the game.
TMZ had video and a brief conversation with “Tank” Davis, as he left football’s biggest game in a wheelchair with a supposed ankle injury,

The gossip site says they’ve learned that Davis was unable to walk significant distance Sunday, because of an ankle injury, but it’s not clear when he suffered it or how severe it actually is?
The 28 year old Davis only responded to the paparazzi questioner “Sh*t happens all the time….I’m alright.”
For his part, Davis, 28-0, 26 KOs, was just in the ring in a Showtime PPV early last month in Washington D.C. That’s when Davis stopped Hector Luis Garcia after eight rounds for a TKO. Davis has been a tremendously success house draw for his fights, including fighting in front of capacity crowds in Atlanta and Los Angeles, as well. He is slated to battle unbeaten and immensely popular Ryan Garcia in a proposed April 15th bout that has not formally been agreed to completely, as of yet.
Davis was part of celebrities at the “Big Game.”
Davis was part of a list of high profile athletes/entertainers/stars, current and former like Lebron James, Bradley Cooper, Jay Z and Davis’ former promoter and mentor Floyd “Money” Mayweather.
Meanwhile, Garcia, 23-0, 19 KOs, was last in action last July in a Golden Boy Boxing main event. Garcia overwhelmed veteran Javier Fortuna by knocking him down three times, including for the final time less than 30 seconds into the six round for the win, This came after taking considerable time off for mental health issues and a hand injury.
Davis is also facing multiple hit and run vehicle charges stemming from a car wreck with bodily injuries to passengers in the other vehicle in Baltimore, MD in November of 202o. He is scheduled to have his trial begin there later this week. Obviously, that trial and his possible conviction could also derail the mega-match up with Garcia.
Davis’ legal team and prosecutors had thought they had worked out a plea agreement for Davis that would not have included jail time. However, the judge, as she is permitted to do, rejected the plea bargain for it lacking any time behind bars, while Davis is charged with 14 counts in the case.
