Undefeated heavyweight fighter Jared Anderson (17-0, 15 KOs) will take on Martin Bakole (20-1, 15 KOs) at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on August 3, as part of a stacked card from Turki Alalshikh, which has been described by Dan Rafael as “the best card in the last 25 years.” Ahead of his toughest test thus far, it has been revealed that ‘The Real Big Baby’ will be trained by SugarHill Steward for his next fight.

The trainer change ahead of his next fight is a fascinating one with renowned trainer SugarHill Steward coming on board. His day one trainer, Darrie Riley will not be leaving and is expected to remain a part of the corner. This is a great move by Anderson and was brought about from a suggestion by His Excellency – who added Anderson-Bakole to the impressive August 3 card, headlined by Terence Crawford vs. WBA titlist Israil Madrimov.

Alalshikh wrote on his X account: “I want to thank Jared Anderson for taking my advice and seeking out coach and trainer Sugar Hill to train him for his upcoming fight.” This will undoubtedly be the biggest test for the Ohio native, and the trainer change will help him prepare for the big punching Bakole.

Anderson has received praise from many in the world of boxing and has worked alongside Tyson Fury in the past, which gave Steward a chance to see the heavyweight prospect up close.
